I'm stuck on a Venice waypoint in the lower-right corner of the map, near the place you land with the flying machine during an assassination. I can't seem to figure out how to climb the tall beige tower. I have the climb jump ability, but the space between windows on this tower is too much for even that. How do you get up there?

Don't worry about in right now. Just continue through the story where eventually they will teach you to jump while climbing to get to hard to reach places. "A bit of advice. Once you get into the tower (climb onto the building next to it and jump onto the tower about halfway up and enter through the fully broken window) You drop down a few levels and the treasure chest is right there, I believe the other one is a few levels up inside the tower.
