right click DS3 in steam. open Properties. open Controller. if the Steam Input status box only has Steam controller and Remote Play enabled. open the drop down above the box and select Enable Steam Input. That should enable support for all controllers and you should be good to go.
Plug the cable into a different USB port. If the charging cable doesn't work via your usual USB port, try a different one. However with the latest PS5 and Remote Play update, this has stopped working. I tried using DS4Windows but it doesn't seem to support nor detect the standard Xbox controllers. Tried everything but no controller detected. I just dislike the PS5 controller. It is not comfortable at all. The DualSense Edge is an excellent controller… that’s in no way worth its price tag. Sony’s premium PS5 gamepad retails for $200, making it more expensive than even the brilliant but pricey GKBTzf.
